The Reverend Brad Mullis, Rector

Brad has served as Trinity’s Rector since September 2003. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Davidson College, an M.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an M.Div. from Duke University. His M.Div work included a year of study at Virginia Theological Seminary.

You can find Brad lending a hand all across church functions. With his many talents, he leads us from the pulpit, from the choir stall, from the altar and most of all from his heart.

Brad was ordained in 1996. Prior to coming to Trinity he served at Church of the Nativity in Raleigh, NC. He is married to his wife, Ellyn, and together they have two children, Sally and Charlie.

Cindy Reaper, Church Administrator

We moved here from Columbus, Ohio in August, 2015.  We are originally from a little village along the Ohio River called Coal Grove.  We could cross a bridge in one place to be in Kentucky, and cross another bridge to be in
West Virginia.  We moved to Columbus in order to pursue better work opportunities. My husband was the Pastor of our church in Columbus, Ohio for 16 years till his health prohibited him from doing all that needed to be done.  It was at that time we decided to move here to Statesville, NC.

We have 6 children, only ones left at home are twin 17 year old boys.  Our other children are scattered.  Our oldest son, daughter-in-law, and 4 grandchildren live in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.  He is a Nuclear Pharmacist.  Our second son lives in Raleigh, NC. And works for the State Education Department.  Our third son, daughter-in-law, and 3 grandchildren live in Florida.  He is retired from the Army and is currently self-employed.  Our one and only daughter lives in Buckeye Lake, Ohio.  Then our 17 year old twin boys attend West Iredell High School, and can’t wait to grow up.   🙂
I graduated from Ohio University with an AAB degree in 1996.  I have come to love the people and my job here at Trinity Episcopal Church and hope to be here for a long time!”

Sam Holt, Organist and Choirmaster
Sam joined Trinity’s staff in July 2006. Having played the organ since age 15, Sam took formal training in organ at Meredith College while he was a full time student at Noth Carolina State University. Sam ‘s knowledge and love of the music and liturgy of the Episcopal Church are obvious to all who worship with him. His enthusiasm is infectious. Sam and his wife, Debbie, have two daughters.

Sam brings musical energy to our services, teaching our choirs and congregation new music, reinforcing music we already know, and inspiring us to reach farther with our voices than we had thought possible. Sam believes that “music is central to our worship, central to sharing the word of God and the promises of our faith.”

Vestry

Our Vestry is the body of confirmed Episcopalians, members of Trinity Episcopal Church, who serve as volunteer chairs of or liaisons to the committees that actively carry out the work of this parish. All members of the Vestry, except the treasurers and the secretary, are elected to serve a three year term. Any confirmed adult member of the parish is eligible to run for vestry and to vote in the election, which is held at the Annual Meeting of the congregation in the fall of each year.
